Epictronic is proud to present the latest release from UK Brit-Pop provocateur SICKY, who today shares the lyric video for “Money For The News”, a razor-edged anthem taken from his forthcoming album Troubled Delight, out August 1st, 2025.
With biting lyricism and raw sonic swagger, “Money For The News” slices through the static of modern life. Fueled by disillusionment and bleak wit, the track paints a grim yet magnetic portrait of a media-fueled culture in decay. “No leaders, no truth — just money for the noise,” SICKY croons, backed by gritty instrumentation and a chorus that punches like a broadcast from a world on the brink.
A Black Country native now based in Shropshire, SICKY has been a consistent shape-shifter in the UK music scene. From the brass-laced indie pop of Papa Mantra to the stomping riffs of SUMO, he’s carved out a distinct, genre-blurring path. With Troubled Delight, SICKY delivers a riotous, emotionally-charged collection that draws equally from Britpop swagger, glam-rock theatrics, and punk honesty, capturing the chaos of modern life with twisted charm and infectious hooks.
