2 years after coming up in our social media radar with their stunning album ‘Double Double’ released via the Dutch imprint Electric Spark, the Montréal-based doom’n’roll/sludge/heavy-stoner trio is back — louder, meaner, and more introspective than ever.
Teaming up with Detroit’s blackened doom titans Temple Of The Fuzz Witch, the Canadian power-trio unleashes a new chapter with their split LP Conjuring, released earlier this year via Black Throne Productions (Sons Of Arrakis…).
Somewhere around the corner between bands such as -(16)-, Electric Wizard, EYEHATEGOD or Sleep ; and stripped down to bass, drums, and unfiltered rage, Seum delivers three crushing new tracks that mark a turning point for the band — including « Éfrit », a blistering single inspired by adolescent drug trips and the haunting metaphors of Arabic folklore.

Known for their ferocious and uncopromising live shows, DIY ethic, and raw, tongue-in-cheek nihilism, Seum pushes their sound further into darker territory with themes exploring disability (« Dead Ear »), aging (« Problems »), and addiction (« Éfrit »). ‘Conjuring’ is not just a collaboration — it’s a cathartic exorcism.

Featuring clean vocals for the first time, the track explores new emotional terrain while keeping their signature grit intact.
